How to Make Grandma’s Cinnamon French Toast Recipe

There’s no way you can mess up this recipe (unless you burn your toast) because it is super easy and fast.

First, you have to make the egg batter. Break the eggs into a large mixing bowl…

Add in the heavy whipping cream, butter, and vanilla extract. Then, add the sugar and whisk the mix to combine all the ingredients.

Now, spread some butter on both sides of the cinnamon swirl bread slices and lay them flat on a plate or tray.

Grease a non-stick skillet with cooking oil, then set it on medium-long heat to heat up.

Meanwhile, dip the buttered bread into the egg batter and let it soak up for 3 minutes or longer.

Note:

The longer the bread stays submerged in the egg batter, the fluffier and creamier your toast would turn out. But, don’t let it stay in for too long so that it won’t turn out soggy and take a longer time to cook.

Carefully take it out and place it back on the tray. Do this till you exhaust your buttered bread slices.

In batches of 4 or 5, place the bread in the heated skillet to cook for about 3-5 minutes on each side. Then, turn down the heat a little to keep the toast warm while you make the whipped cream.

Into another bowl, add the heavy whipping cream and sugar, then whisk for 8 minutes until it is fluffy. There you have it. Your very own whipped cream specially made for your Cinnamon French Toast.

Serve the French toast on a plate and top it with the whipped cream. Drizzle some honey…

…and add some strawberries and blueberries on the sides.

You can also sprinkle some more powdered sugar if you’d like to enjoy some extra sweetness.

This French toast is yummy. It is not like any other toast you have ever had. Trust me! You should try it.
